What The Most Stable Golf Shoe Cleats On The Market?
something that will keep me “locked in” over the ball well, without doing a number on the greens. I own footjoys, and the soft spike that comes with it is not very satisfying. im a fan of the adidas cleats are they good or is there better?

I love stingers, they’re long and they’re a pretty stiff spike so they keep you locked in, the one complaint is that they’re aren’t extremely durable, so i have to replace them about half way through the year.
p.s…. The man who claim’s you have the wrong swing plane…
if he’s been playing for 75 years, that makes him at least 80 years old, and that’s assuming he’s one of those people who claims that they’ve been “playing since they were 5″
i smell something wrong…
Get a nice pair of shoes with a not-too-tight-yet-comfortable fit. That will definitely keep you “locked in”. Cost is irrelevant- whatever you’re willing (or dumb enough, depending on your perspective) to spend will be just fine.
A cheaper fix may be to try the Champs Scorpion Stinger spikes- won’t wreck the green and grabs just a tiny bit better, but not much. You wouldn’t notice the difference, to be honest. But really, that’s the only other choice we have, commercially, for spikes.
Googie is right, though. Unbeknownst to Nike, “it CAN’T be the shoes”- it’s the person.
If you have the extra cash I’d buy the Adidas Tour 360 v3s just because of the looks, and they feel good to wear. I mean, you aren’t going to find much difference between the different soft spiked shoes. I own a few pairs of nikes and adidas, and I can’t tell the difference, other than that the adidas fit my feet better. That’s what you should be going off of, because unless you buy a different type of spike (ie Pulsars) you won’t find much of a difference between the shoes other than the comfort factor.
If you have the proper swing plane, take a way and resulting follow through, you should always be in balance and not have to depend on golf spikes to ” lock you in ” . Some people need a bit wider stance to accomplish that while others must learn not to over swing.
I use Nike’s and they seem to be very stable, try them out.
