Why is selling out a good thing? Making money on golf talent – fine. Making money on ads as a famous sports personality – selling out. When you make art on fame, not talent, it’s selling out. Let the head of Nike go on camera and advertise his shoes.

@TomHendricksMusea I work with several artists that would disagree. If one can cash in on their hard earned fame without hurting anyone, that’s considered success. You can promote not only merchandise or brands, but there are causes and charities willing to pay to use someone’s voice or likeness as endorsement. It’s all fair business, and it helps pay the bills.

The only thing I cared about was the way we found out!!
