Can You Golf In Soccer Cleats Or Turf Shoes, Not The Ones With Metal Spikes, But Hard Rubber Instead? I Am…?
..too cheap to spend 50 or more bucks on a real pair of golf shoes, since I only golf 1-2 times a year, but the soccer cleats they sell at Wal Mart look like they’ve got good bite to them, and they’re $20.

I recommend just playing in running/tennis shoes or whatever. I always play in running shoes, and I swing hard, and I’ve never had a problem with slipping, even on wet grass. Unless you’re really really good I guess, you don’t really need to play in cleats at all.
i did they had small knobs on them rubber.
Depending on where you are from if you have sports authroity, dicks sports or golf galaxy check for golf shoe sales often you can find the FootJoy brand that range from the ever common 80-400$ range and the 20-50$ range and yes you can find shoes for 20 bucks. Depending on the golf course most courses are not going to care what kind of shoes you wear and do not check. If you go to somewhere with a fancy country club there might be some kind of Dress Code requirment. I golf 30 or 40 times a year so I’m in need of durable golf shoes but I bought a pair of 30 dollar foot joy shoes a couple years back and they’ve lasted me around 60-70 rounds which should be perfect for you. Try the foot joy website and see what you can find.
Good Luck!
My apoligies^ that was my original entry the shoes on the foot joy website are more pro oriented so here’s a link to the sports authority with hundereds of shoes and different brands and styles in much cheeper prices because some of those shoes on the page were not what you are looking forhttp://www.sportsauthority.com/family/in…
Look around in Wal-mart and Target. I once found a pair of golf shoes that were selling for $8.
They’ll probably tear up the greens more.
The cleats will tear up the greens and that will cause putts not to roll on a flat surface.
No, i don’t think any golf courses will allow you to wear soccer cleats, the ones at wal-mart would probably wear molded studs on the bottom of them and if you walk a certain way they may actually tear up the grass on the green or even in the fairways. You could still give it a shot though, could be worth saving some money, but it would affect your game dramatically i think.
most courses make you wear plastic or rubber spikes now.
metal are harder on the greens.
soccer shoes may damage the greens, and its kidda hard to swing with them. they have narrow and pointy base, its not stable for twist action.
